Arrival in Istanbul and 3D Biometric Scanning
The moment you land at Istanbul airport, your health and comfort are entrusted to our VIP transfer team. After settling into your contracted hotel, your first face-to-face appointment takes place at OPC Clinic, our digitally equipped center with a size of 1500 m². This stage is a technological feast that completely eliminates the nauseating impression pastes of traditional dentistry.
In our clinic, high-resolution intraoral scanners such as iTero or 3Shape are used. These devices with special optical cameras collect thousands of data points from the surface of your teeth within seconds and transfer an exact 3D digital model of your oral structure to the computer screen. This biometric data is uploaded into special software called “ClinCheck.” Our orthodontist plans the movement trajectory of your teeth over months with millimetric precision on this software. Before even starting the treatment, you watch your symmetrical smile months later as a three-dimensional video animation on the screen.
Production, Attachment Application, and First Fit
After your digital approval is received, your data is transmitted to the clear aligner production center and your entire aligner set is custom-produced with high-precision 3D printers. Once production is completed, you are invited to our clinic for your second (and usually final) physical appointment in Istanbul.
In this session, the force points necessary for the aligners to push your teeth in the desired direction are created. Small tooth-colored composite protrusions, called “attachments,” are placed on the tooth surfaces, which are not noticeable from the outside. In some cases, to create space for tooth movement, a microscopic level of abrasion (0.1–0.5 mm) between the teeth (IPR – Interproximal Reduction) may be performed. Then your first aligner is fitted, its compatibility is checked, and you are given detailed training on how to use and clean your aligners. Retention: Lifetime Preservation of Perfection

- Essix Retainers: In addition to the fixed wire, “Essix” aligners, which are very similar to your active aligners but have a more rigid structure, are produced. Our patients are asked to wear these aligners for most of the day during the first months and later only while sleeping at night.
