What treatment methods are used for jaw cysts or tumors?

Treatment methods vary depending on the type, size, and location of the cyst or tumor. Small cysts are usually removed with a simple surgical procedure. For larger cysts, drainage (marsupialization) of the cyst followed by complete removal in a second stage may be preferred. For tumors, both surgical removal and, if necessary, reconstruction (bone repair) can be performed. Malignant tumors may also require additional oncological treatments.
