As with any surgical procedure, there are risks:
Infection
Implant failure to fuse with the bone
Nerve damage or temporary lip/tongue numbness
However, with an experienced surgeon and proper planning, the risks are quite low. Complications are rarely permanent and can often be resolved with treatment.
